Skin cancer is preventable with frequent screenings

In 2022, we were thrilled to welcome Integrated Dermatology of North Raleigh as our newest community partner. Under the leadership of Dr. Angela Macri, their dedicated providers and staff generously contributed their expertise to conduct free skin cancer screenings, benefiting the community we serve.

To enhance the impact of this special screening event, we collaborated with two esteemed organizations. Filling In Gaps (FIGS) of Wake County generously provided gift bags containing essential skin cancer prevention products and stylish sunglasses, adding an extra layer of protection for participants. Additionally, Dorcas Thrift Store demonstrated their unwavering support by donating a variety of sun hats, ensuring individuals had access to further protection from harmful UV rays.

By leveraging the expertise and resources of our community partners, we were able to provide a comprehensive and impactful screening event, fostering greater awareness and proactive measures to combat skin cancer.

We are incredibly grateful for the support and collaboration of Integrated Dermatology of North Raleigh, Filling In Gaps (FIGS) of Wake County, and Dorcas Thrift Store. Together, we remain committed to addressing the health needs of the community and making a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.
