Making history with our first ophthalmologist onsite
Dr. Swapna Gangasani made history as the first health provider outside the field of nursing to volunteer at our clinic, breaking barriers and paving the way for other interprofessional disciplines to contribute their expertise. Trained as an ophthalmologist in India, Dr. Swapna brought a unique perspective to our team and shared her invaluable knowledge during a retina screening event, benefiting both our staff and clients.

Swapna's desire to give back to the community and serve the underserved aligns perfectly with the mission and vision of our clinic. Her dedication to making a difference and providing much-needed healthcare services to those in need exemplifies the spirit of compassion and altruism that drives our team and volunteers.

We are profoundly grateful for Swapna's willingness to share her expertise and time with us, and we deeply appreciate her kind words of appreciation. Her involvement as a volunteer has enriched the clinic's capacity to serve the community and has opened doors for future interprofessional collaborations.
